About the Company

Incubated by Frist Cressey Ventures and backed by CVS Health Ventures, 25M Health, Memorial Hermann Health System, Samsung Next and others, Thrive Mobile is the worlds only wireless platform built for healthcare. Many Medicaid and Medicare beneficiaries struggle with unreliable wireless service, frequent number changes, and limited data, all of which disrupt access to care.

We partner with health plans and state governments to distribute a mobile service that includes an embedded engagement layer on the device itself. This allows members to stay connected, stay covered, and access important benefits and healthcare services without friction.

Our mission is simple: build the mobile platform that makes healthcare easier.

About the Role

We are looking for a Manager, AI Product Innovation who is excited about turning user behavior into AI-powered product experiences and building intelligent systems that scale. This is a technically deep, hands-on role ideal for someone with 3 to 5 years of experience who is equally at home wiring together AI agents, writing SQL, and shipping the workflows that help a product team move fast.

You will sit within the Product team, reporting directly to the Head of Product, and serve as the AI infrastructure backbone for how we understand and serve our members. You will own agent workflows, data infrastructure, and the tooling that gives the team real-time visibility into what's working — and what to build next.

This is an opportunity to do high-impact work at the intersection of applied AI and product intelligence — ideal for someone who wants real ownership and is ready to build from the ground up.

This is a hybrid role based in New York City. We are in office Tuesday through Thursday in our West Village co-working space.

What You'll Do

Build AI-powered product experiences

  • Design and ship user-facing AI features — intelligent scheduling, conversational agents, personalized recommendations, and proactive nudges that change how users experience the platform.
  • Build and maintain LLM-powered workflows that automate complex tasks and create genuinely new product capabilities — not just internal tooling, but things real users interact with.
  • Prototype fast, test with real users, and iterate. You won't be handing specs to an eng team — you'll be building it.

Know what's working — and what to build next

  • You're comfortable owning product analytics end-to-end: instrumentation, SQL, and the dashboards that keep the team informed. That foundation is how you decide what to build, prioritize what to fix, and prove that what you shipped actually moved the needle.

Partner and accelerate

  • Work closely with the Head of Product to go from "here's a question" to "here's a working thing that answers it."
  • Support product reviews, roadmap planning, and experiments with data that's rigorous and clearly communicated.
  • Make data self-serve so the team spends less time asking for numbers and more time making decisions.

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days:

  • You have a good understanding of Thrive’s products and services for healthcare payors, providers.
  • You’ve reviewed Thrive’s platform architecture, familiarized yourself with the data, and have grasped how these link to our day-to-day business operations.
  • You've kicked off your first scoped project, whether a dashboard, AI agent automation, or a linkage analysis.

First 90 Days:

  • You're in flow with the Head of Product: a fast-moving, reliable analytical partner who makes the whole team sharper.
  • Your technical instincts and builder mentality are evident; you're not waiting to be asked, you're proactively identifying problems and moving on them.
  • The team already thinks of you as the go-to person for data and AI questions.

First 6 months:

  • Your work is visibly improving how the team makes decisions: the analytics infrastructure is stronger, insights are more accessible, and the team moves faster because of the foundations you've built.
  • You're connecting dots between member engagement and health outcomes in ways that sharpen our product thinking and strengthen our mission narrative.
  • You're a trusted, high-output member of the Thrive team who raises the bar for everyone around you.

Year 1:

  • You're helping shape what the function looks like as we scale, not just executing, but influencing how we build.

About You

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3–5 years of experience, with at least 1–2 years in a high-growth startup or tech environment.
  • Strong, production-level SQL skills: comfortable with complex joins, window functions, and data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Looker, Sigma, Tableau, or similar.
  • Experience building AI agent workflows or LLM-powered automations.
  • Comfortable owning data pipelines and running end-to-end data processes with minimal oversight.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript or Python for data transformation and automation is a strong plus.

Ways of working

  • Builder mindset — you want to create systems and infrastructure, not just pull reports.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and turning fuzzy product questions into clear analytical approaches.
  • High ownership — you take the ball and run with it.
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical findings for non-technical stakeholders.

Traits we love

  • Curious and self-directed — you go deep on problems without being asked.
  • Energized by the intersection of AI and data, and always exploring what's newly possible.
  • Passionate about building products that serve people who are often overlooked.
