Job Summary:
The Internal Ops Generalist will serve as a versatile, reliable partner to People Operations, Business Operations, and Finance, reporting directly to the VP of People Operations. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive, friendly professional who is energized by taking care of the details so the whole team can run fast together. The Internal Ops Generalist will partner with Recruiting, People, and Finance teams to optimize and execute on internal processes that enable Qualified Health to scale efficiently. This position requires strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for building the operational foundation of a high-growth company.
Key Responsibilities:
People Operations Support
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and performance management processes
- Maintain HRIS data accuracy, run regular audits, and process employee changes such as role transitions, department transfers, and compensation updates
- Assist with recruiting coordination, interview scheduling, and candidate communications as needed
- Help plan and execute company events, team-building activities, and culture initiatives
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations
Finance Support
- Process invoices, manage expense reimbursements, and assist with spend controls and purchasing workflows
- Support monthly close activities by coordinating with the Finance team on ad hoc requests and data gathering
- Maintain organized financial records and assist with audit preparation as needed
- Provide ad hoc data analysis and reporting to support business decisions across People, Ops, and Finance
Required Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in an operations, people operations, business operations, or generalist capacity
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency with productivity and project management tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, Asana)
- Ability to work onsite in Palo Alto 3-5 days/week, with early morning arrival in the office
Ideal Experience:
- Experience in a high-growth startup or technology company, where resourcefulness and adaptability were essential
- Hands-on exposure to HRIS platforms like Gusto or Rippling; and accounting or finance software like Brex
- Familiarity with benefits administration, payroll coordination, or employee relations
- Experience supporting finance or accounting functions, such as accounts payable workflows or month-end close activities
- Track record of building or significantly improving internal processes from the ground up
- Previous experience working closely with a People, HR, or Operations team in a cross-functional environment

Pay & Benefits: The pay range for this role is between $100,000 and $120,000, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
