Job Description:
Summary:
The Sr. RCM Coding Coordinator is responsible for coordinating coding department administrative functions, supporting operational initiatives, conducting coding-related research, and assisting with ongoing and special projects. This role partners closely with Coding Leadership to develop and maintain departmental documentation, facilitate team communications, support coding system access management, and assist with data analysis and reporting activities. The Senior RCM Coding Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining departmental resources, coordinating Coding Roundtable activities, disseminating coding-related information to staff, and supporting organizational efforts related to coding operations and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and update provider and practice risk-monitoring tools and reports, including bell curve analyses and other coding performance trend reports.
Assist with the development, review, maintenance, and implementation of coding department policies, procedures, workflows, educational materials, presentations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Assist with onboarding activities to facilitate coding system, application access, and coding resource requests for coding team members.
Conduct coding, billing, payer policy, and regulatory research and communicate findings to Coding Leadership.
Support Coding Roundtable meetings by coordinating agendas, tracking discussion topics, documenting action items, and facilitating follow-up activities.
Review, maintain, and update the Coding Department SharePoint site to ensure content remains current, accurate, and accessible.
Collaborate and maintain open communication with Coding Leadership and necessary stakeholders, to identify trends, operational challenges, and opportunities for process improvement.
Support organizational initiatives and projects related to coding operations, compliance, education, and process improvement.
Other duties as assigned to support the mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.

Proficient in the use of end-user computer applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Ability to independently prioritize workload and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when managing departmental data, reports, and communications.
Qualifications:
CPC-A, CPC, CCS-P or other coding certification required.
Extensive knowledge of insurance payer guidelines and medical policies.
Knowledge of ICD10, CPT and HCPCS codes required.
Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
2+ years of coding experience required.
Medical Oncology coding experience preferred.
