Job Description:
Role Summary:
The Revenue Recognition Manager is a role that is an integral part of the Corporate and Practice Accounting teams, working to provide exceptional service to our oncology practice partners through assisting with all aspects of revenue recognition for each practice.
This will be a dynamic role which requires a multi-dimensional skillset including the ability to assist with monthly revenue calculations, perform detailed operational analyses, and communicate effectively with Accounting, Finance, and Operations leaders as well as Company Executives. The individual should be a highly motivated self-starter, comfortable voicing their opinion and asking questions, with an ability to work in a constantly evolving and sometimes ambiguous environment.
The role will provide exciting growth opportunities for personal and career development within a high-growth healthcare company, as well as regular interactions with the Directors of Corporate Accounting and Practice Accounting, and regular exposure to executive leadership. While the individual will work primarily within the Practice Accounting teams, the role will interface directly with a diverse array of functions including Corporate Accounting, Business Intelligence and Analytics, Revenue Cycle Management, Payor Relations, Treasury, Business Operations, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Strategic Finance and Strategic Pharma. OneOncology is growing rapidly and adding multiple new practices each year which provides practice onboarding opportunities for this role.
This position reports to the Sr. Director, Revenue and will be responsible for building, maintaining and periodically updating financial analysis templates with respect to the Company’s revenue recognition procedures and related AR reserves for both medical patient service and pharmaceutical revenue. The position will also work on ad hoc analytical projects primarily related to revenue, cash collections, statistical reporting, and summarizing monthly results.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the calculation, analysis and communication of monthly financial, operating and statistical results with an eye for process improvement and automation opportunities.
*While Excel remains an important and powerful tool, the most important medium to long-term objective within the Revenue accounting and finance teams is developing automation within Workday. Developing a more scalable process in which Workday automates the journal entry process which enables people to focus on the outputs of the data validation, error checking and exception handling processes.
*Continuously monitor and maintain Excel templates used to evaluate net revenue and net AR, and related KPIs: net AR valuation and cash collections compared to net revenue recorded over time, drug margin, drug revenue/admin, reimbursement rates as a % of published Medicare reimbursement.
*Perform and maintain monthly process to align mapping of charge, payment and adjustment transaction activity to the correct GL accounts, service lines, cost centers, and physicians.
*Help with the ongoing development and maintenance of Excel-based and automated tools (Power BI, Rivet, Candid) to monitor RCM performance.
Interact with Business Intelligence team in an ongoing effort to improve data availability, quality and functionality for periodic and ad hoc analyses.
Support new partner practice and acquired company integration activities throughout 4-6 month onboarding process.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of periodic AR hindsight review procedures required to evaluate the Company’s AR positions.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and across multiple teams to achieve the completion of projects, initiatives and tasks.

Required or Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of provider care billing data and revenue recognition is required.
Four to 6 years of experience in finance and/or accounting is required.
Must have strong financial analytical and computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel. Workday ERP (Financials, Prism and Accounting Center modules) experience a significant plus but not required.
Experience working with healthcare data strongly preferred, with particular preference for experience in provider billing data, claims data, Medicare reimbursement schedules, financial journal entry structure and data, and electronic medical record (EMR) data.
Should possess experience and judgment to work collaboratively with Practice leadership in order to accomplish desired outcomes.
