Job Description:
The Practice Development Specialist will coordinate directly with providers and office staff at United Urology Group, its Affiliate Practices, and Operations to identify opportunities for workflow improvement, integrate clinical and information technology resources, and facilitate training and educational sessions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Practice Development
- Works closely with the Director of Practice Development to develop and support strategies for physician practices to include, but not limited to, practice observations of the current state, review of findings, consultation on best practice recommendations, and opportunities for implementation of standardized policies and procedures.
- Learn business processes and cultural sensitivities at new urology practices and incorporate those learnings into a thoughtful change strategy and implementation.
- Provide extended onsite support for special projects (may require extensive travel).
- Report to the Director of Practice Development regarding the status, successes, and challenges of projects and practice development initiatives.
- Help to develop and communicate relevant and scalable policies, procedures, and best practices that are aligned with United Urology’s corporate business and clinical operations.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of United Urology’s clinical and business systems.
- Regularly analyze clinical systems utilization and make recommendations for optimization to appropriate managers and directors.
- Serve as the first line of contact/subject matter expert for clinical applications, systems, and related workflows.
- Coordinate with appropriate United Urology support teams to address and resolve operational and systems issues.
- Participate in local, regional, or national user groups or organizations to enhance networking and contacts and obtain best practices for implementation as applicable to the job position.
- Serves as a resource to Clinicians, Managers, and associates on the features, strengths, and weaknesses of the various applications and systems.
Training
- Assist with developing and delivering systems training in person or virtual classroom settings across all regional locations.
- Assist with onboarding new staff and providers across all regional locations (may require travel).
- Assist with verifying and monitoring the accuracy of staff and physician documentation within various applications and systems.
- Work closely with the Learning and Development Specialist to maintain accurate records and track training classes, student assessments, and end-user survey results.
- Assist with developing, updating, and maintaining training materials, including, but not limited to, videos, training manuals, role-specific job aides, etc.
- Assist with maintaining the centralized training document repository on SharePoint and the training resource page.
- Assist with maintaining and communicating training dates and schedules with managers and HR teams.
- Train and support the implementation of the Telehealth Program across all regions.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in health care, IT, or business-related field or an equivalent combination of education certifications and directly related work experience is required.
- Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience with PM/EHR in a practice management setting.
- Experience with information systems, clinical software, and other computer applications. Prior experience with Allscripts is preferred.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products.
- Project management experience desired.

Tech Requirements for the Job:
- High-speed, reliable internet connection to ensure uninterrupted communication and access to necessary systems and tools.
- Quiet and private work environment to maintain confidentiality and minimize background noise during calls.
- Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools, such as video conferencing software, instant messaging platforms, and customer relationship management systems.
- Compliance with all security and privacy policies and protocols, including safeguarding patient information and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Travel:
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the year.
- Ability to stay at an identified work site for an extended period. (May require an overnight stay).
Job Type: Full-Time Based in Colorado, Remote - Travel Required
Pay Range: $75,000 - $95,000 annually
Actual compensation offered to candidates is based on work experience, education, skill level, and geographic location. Compensation may vary depending on the state or region in which the position is located, in accordance with applicable laws.
