Job Description:

The Manager, Accounting Operations role will report to OneOncology’s Sr. Director, Controller Accounting Operations. The position will be responsible for supporting and improving our accounting processes across several key areas, including collaborating with human resources to coordinate multi-location benefits accounting, and working across the accounting team to ensure accurate payroll and accounts payable entries. This position will also manage various ad hoc projects supporting OneOncology’s growth.

This role will be based in Nashville and will have opportunities for interactions with practice personnel and leadership, as well as finance and human resources leadership. The ability to simplify the communication of complex accounting concepts for a non-financial audience is essential, as is a strong customer-service mindset in working with our partner practices and other constituents.


Responsibilities

  • Work with human resources and corporate accounting in accounting for OneOncology’s employee benefits, including our self-insured health plan.

  • Develop and communicate analysis for the self-insured medical plan performance.

  • Serve as liaison between payroll and corporate/practice accounting, helping to improve the entry and reconciliation processes.

  • Work with accounts payable and practice accounting to streamline expense coding.

  • Aid in development and implementation of internal controls for accounting operations.

  • Provide information in support of financial closes and audits.

  • Manage accounting operations special projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • MBA and/or CPA preferred

  • 5+ years progressive accounting experience

  • Healthcare experience is a plus

  • Experience with Workday Financials a plus
