Job Description:
The Clinical Innovation Specialist reports to the Clinical Innovation Manager and is part of the Clinical team at OneOncology. This individual will play an integral role in supporting the execution of teams’ strategic goal of equipping every provider with the resources, tools and technology to achieve clinical excellence in cancer care. This role will support growth of innovative clinical services/programs for assigned initiatives through the use of management system tools and established clinical innovation frameworks. This position is available in Nashville, TN or may work remotely if near a major airport.
Responsibilities:
Support and drive execution of clinical innovation initiatives by guiding clinical subject matter experts and cross-functional teams in accomplishing organizational priorities for assigned programs using project management, performance improvement, and change management tools.
Design, develop, and refine frameworks and process for assigned initiatives to launch, pilot, and scale new and innovative Clinical services/programs at OneOncology and partner practices.
Partner closely with partner practices to understand clinical workflows, identify opportunities and execute on defined clinical strategic priorities.
Use OneOncology’s analytical tools to track, report, and create action plans from key performance indicators.
Identify tasks, assign resources, and manage project plans and checklists to successfully complete tasks to meet agreed upon deadlines.
Coordinate and influence multiple technical and operational teams in support of approved programs and initiatives to achieve the necessary program, project or activity plans, and schedules while maintaining within budget and resource guidelines.
Provide business analysis and due diligence support on new projects as requested and under the direction of the Clinical Innovation Manager.
Stay updated on industry best practices, project management methodologies, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in initiative execution and delivery processes.
Provide planning, coordination and organizational support to OneCouncil physician board and related committee activities/initiatives including tracking action items and follow-through.
Perform other duties as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.
Key Competencies:
Strong working knowledge of project management and process improvement methodologies
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple, concurrent initiatives
Ability to present complex ideas effectively to diverse audiences
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, workflows, and clinical environments in support of assigned initiatives and priorities defined in partnership with the Clinical Innovation Manager
Effective communication skills (verbal/written/listening)
High degree of accountability, attention to detail, and ownership of outcomes
Comfort working independently, exercising judgement, and navigating ambiguity in a team-based, matrixed environment
Qualifications:
Experience in identifying process inefficiencies, implementing process improvements, and driving operational excellence is highly desirable.
3 years of experience in a similar role with 1+ years of experience in a provider setting required; preferred experience in oncology
Project management experience desired
Lean/Six Sigma or other process improvement experience desired
Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience working with clinicians strongly preferred.
Experience in oncology preferred.
Ability to travel up to 20%
Masters degree preferred
