Job Description:
The Senior Practice Accountant will report to a Manager, Practice Accounting and will be part of the Accounting team.
We will assign our Sr. Accountants to the respective leader based on skillsets and career desires. Each Senior will lead a team of 1-2 staff accountants and will be assigned to an individual partner practice. Each Senior Accountant will partner closely financial operations team, revenue recognition team, strategic finance team, treasury, and operations teams to dynamically develop proper accounting positions and evaluate transactions under US GAAP. In addition, these positions will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Company’s monthly close process, ensuring proper accounting for their practice, performing and documenting technical accounting research, ensuring proper revenue recognition, and supporting/analyzing annual budget process.
Each of the Senior Accountants will have significant exposure to and work daily with the Accounting Director, financial operations, and operations team within their assigned practice’s region. The Company has experienced and will continue to experience high growth. This is a hybrid role in Nashville, TN.
Responsibilities
• Work closely and proactively with the practice accounting team to ensure proper accounting, revenue recognition, and reporting at each of the Company’s practices
• Oversee and manage the month-end close process including coordination with financial operations, and practice leaders
• Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with US GAAP
• Preparing and reviewing ad-hoc internal and external financial reporting and analysis
• Coordinate timely preparation and review of month-end balance sheet reconciliations, consolidation activities, and financial reporting
• Develop, document, implement and maintain the Company’s accounting policies and procedures
• Research complex accounting issues and work with corporate accounting to document technical accounting conclusions
• Identify areas of process improvement, recommend changes, and execute improvements
• Develop and provide feedback to staff
• Additional responsibilities will be assigned to high performing individuals
• Other duties as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.

Qualifications
• Accounting degree (with graduate degree preferred, but not required)
• Seniors – 2-5+ years of accounting experience within public accounting or industry role
• Proven knowledge of GAAP, FASB, PCAOB, and SEC regulations
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, best practices, and the ability to research and document accounting and financial topics required
• Strong excel skills
• Working knowledge of Workday or other ERP platforms is a plus
• Active CPA license or working toward CPA license preferred, but not required
• Experience or exposure to healthcare is preferred, but not required
