Job Description:

The Staff Practice Accountant will report to a Senior, Practice Accountant.

This position will be responsible for performing the accounting functions including month-end close, revenue recognition, financial reporting, and providing monthly operating information.

This is a hybrid role in Nashville, TN.

Responsibilities

• Work closely and proactively with the practice accounting team to ensure proper accounting, revenue recognition, and reporting at each of the Company’s practices

• Oversee and participate in the month-end close process with senior and manager including coordination with financial operations , and practice leaders

• Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with US GAAP

• Preparing ad-hoc internal and external financial reporting and analysis

• Coordinate timely preparation and review of month-end balance sheet reconciliations, consolidation activities, and financial reporting

• Develop, document, implement and maintain the Company’s accounting policies and procedures

• Identify areas of process improvement, recommend changes, and execute improvements

• Additional responsibilities will be assigned to high performing individuals

• Other duties as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.

• Proven collaboration skills, work with a sense of urgency, and prioritizes action items

Qualifications

Accounting degree (with graduate degree preferred, but not required)

• 0-4+ years of accounting experience (will hire recent college graduates with requisite coursework and strong GPA)

• Proven knowledge of GAAP, FASB, PCAOB, and SEC regulations

• Strong knowledge of internal controls, best practices, and the ability to research and document accounting and financial topics required

• Strong excel skills

• Working knowledge of Workday or other ERP platforms is a plus

• Active CPA license or working toward CPA license preferred, but not required

• Experience or exposure to healthcare is preferred, but not required
