Job Description:

The Senior Director of Pharmacy Services will report to the Vice President of Pharmacy Services. This role will provide leadership over both clinical and operational pharmacy functions across the OneOncology and United Urology Group network. This leader will manage and mentor the Directors of Pharmacy Services and other pharmacy team members to ensure best-in-class pharmacy services, operational excellence, and exceptional patient care.
This position will be responsible for strategic planning, network-wide collaboration, and execution of initiatives that optimize pharmacy services, including in-office dispensing, retail pharmacy operations, drug admixture, regimen management, and clinical program development. The Senior Director will serve as a trusted subject matter expert in support of the Vice President of Pharmacy Services, engaging with practice stakeholders to help advance initiatives that foster innovation and continuous improvement in oncology pharmacy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and leadership for pharmacy services, integrating operational and clinical strategies across the OneOncology network.

  • Partner with practice leaders to establish and execute pharmacy goals aligned with organizational priorities.

  • Directly supervise and develop pharmacy leadership staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between OneOncology, practice sites, and strategic partners to address operational, clinical, and supply chain needs.

  • Provide oversight of pharmacy operations, including retail/in-office dispensing workflows, quality assurance programs, and regulatory compliance

  • Lead evaluation and implementation of pharmacy technology solutions to improve safety, efficiency, and outcomes.

  • Monitor and adapt to regulatory changes impacting pharmacy practice, ensuring proactive compliance.

  • Supervise drug monograph creation, drug class reviews, and evaluation of practice-changing publications for presentation to the Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee

  • Provide oversight for corporate regimen maintenance activities in partnership with clinical staff, and practice teams.

  • Co-chair the OneOncology Pharmacy Committee and actively participate in the P&T Committee.

  • Represent pharmacy services on organizational committees, fostering alignment of pharmacy initiatives with clinical and operational priorities.

  • Partner with the Vice President of Pharmacy Services to develop, implement, and monitor strategic initiatives across pharmacy operations and clinical programs.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and operational/clinical liaison on behalf of the Vice President, ensuring seamless communication and execution with practice sites.

  • Supervise and mentor Directors of Clinical Pharmacy Services, Directors of Pharmacy Operations, and other pharmacy team members in alignment with the Vice President’s direction.

  • Support the Vice President in representing pharmacy services to executive leadership, strategic partners, and external stakeholders.

  • Other duties as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.

Key Competencies

  • Expert knowledge of cancer medications, dosing, side effects, indications, contraindications and proper administration with ability access resources as required

  • Knowledge of retail pharmacy/IOD procedures and operations

  • Knowledge of USP 795, 797 and 800

  • Knowledge of clinic procedures and operations

  • Strong people skills for pharmacy staff and practice interactions

  • Excellent project management skills with an emphasis on detail and follow-through

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to use computers and software applications (MS Office products)

  • Knowledge of medical & pharmacy benefit billing practices

  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and requirements

  • Ability to implement change in a positive way while ensuring a high-level of practice satisfaction

Qualifications

  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD (preferred)

  • Current Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or Oncology or plan to sit within next two years (preferred)

  • Minimum 5-year oncology experience required

  • Experience with Flatiron Health OncoEMR software, Nucleus, QS1 and Pioneer Software

  • Current unrestricted pharmacist license
