Job Title: Mobility Deployment Technician

The Mobility Deployment Technician is responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle management of Android/Apple mobile devices across the organization. This role ensures devices are properly imaged, secured, tracked, and supported to meet operational and security requirements. The technician works closely with IT teams and end users to provide reliable mobile technology services. This is an office-based role with occasional after hours or on-call support required.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and provision Android and/or Apple smartphones and tablets for new and existing users
  • Perform software imaging, OS updates, application installation, and configuration management
  • Enroll and manage devices using Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions; specifically, Microsoft Intune and/or NinjaOne.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues related to Android/Apple devices
  • Perform routine maintenance, patching, and security updates
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory records, including device assignment, serial numbers, lifecycle status, and warranty information
  • Coordinate device repairs, replacements, upgrades, and decommissioning
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and data protection standards
  • Document procedures, configurations, and deployment standards
  • Provide end-user support, training, and basic usage guidance as needed
  • Collaborate with IT security, networking, and systems teams on mobile initiatives
  • Lifts and handles mobile devices and related equipment

Position Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in IT support or mobile device deployment
  • Hands-on experience with Android/MAC OS configuration and troubleshooting
  • Experience with software imaging, device provisioning, and asset tracking systems
  • Familiarity with MDM tools and mobile security best practices
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, VPN, cellular connectivity)
  • Demonstrated documentation, attention to detail, problem-solving, analytical, communication and organizational skills
  • Experience supporting large-scale Android and/or Apple deployments is preferred
  • Certifications preferred: CompTIA A+, ITF+, or Android Enterprise/Apple certifications
  • Experience with ticketing systems is preferred, specifically FreshService, or other comparable ITSM systems
