Position: Senior Analyst, Medical Economics

The Senior Analyst, Medical Economics Trend Analytics is a key role focused on developing and executing a robust performance management process at both the client and operational reporting levels. This position aims to identify medical cost trends and actionable opportunities that impact savings performance, as well as to monitor performance against underwriting targets to identify gaps, recommend actions, and assess financial impacts. By delivering actionable insights, this role ensures our fast-growing organization continues to excel. The role involves collaborating across various teams including Actuarial, Medical Economics, Clinical, Operations, Data Reporting, and Data Engineering to implement and measure strategic actions based on analytical insights. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Optimize the current Trend Analytics toolset within an evolving enterprise data warehouse (EDW) framework, emphasizing organizational governance and efficient processes.
  • Perform analysis to identify trend drivers; translate insights and opportunities into actionable strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical and Operations leaders to assess, value and measure actionable initiatives that impact performance and outcomes.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree; actuarial designation (ASA or close to designation) is a plus but not required.
  • 2+ years of relevant actuarial or analytical healthcare experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, including data visualization and presentation in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in SQL/R/Python.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information across an array of different teams within the organization.
  • Critical thinker, self-starter, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Comfort and experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
