Procurement Manager
Devoted Health
Job Description
A bit about this role:
You will report to the Associate Director of Procurement and serve as a dedicated partner to our internal Business Owners. At Devoted, our Business Owners are key drivers of our mission; your role is to act as a "jack of all trades" facilitator who helps them navigate the purchasing and contracting lifecycle with ease. You aren't here to be a gatekeeper, but rather a guide—balancing tactical execution with strategic support to ensure the business can move fast while staying protected and also achieving the best overall value for products and services.
Your Responsibilities and Impact will include:
Business Enablement & Sourcing: Partner closely with internal Business Owners to facilitate sourcing events and cost analyses, ensuring they obtain the best quality and value for the products and services they need.
Procurement Operations & AI Innovation: Assist with the development, implementation, and optimization of electronic procurement tools and AI-driven solutions to maximize operational efficiency. You will focus on "hitting the ground running" by leveraging automation and AI to ensure high-quality, clean data while reducing manual administrative tasks for our Business Owners.
Business-Led Negotiations & Savings: Partner with Business Owners to lead vendor negotiations and identify cost-saving opportunities, acting as a strategic advisor to ensure we achieve the best value for every dollar spent.
Contract Facilitation: Perform first-pass reviews and light, playbook-based redlines on standard agreements (e.g., SOWs, Order Forms) to accelerate the approval process for the business.
Collaborative Triage: Act as the central hub for contract intake, ensuring Business Owners provide necessary documentation while efficiently routing agreements to Legal, IT Security, and Finance for final review.
Vendor Relationship Support: Assist Business Owners with vendor setup and onboarding, collaborating across departments to transmit the information necessary to get vendors up and running.
Status Management: Act as the primary point of contact for the business, providing clear, proactive, and timely updates on contract status from intake to execution.
System Stewardship: Maintain the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) database and central purchase trackers (Google Sheets) to ensure the business has accurate data on renewals and spending.
Process Simplification: Assist in creating user-friendly visual aids and process flowcharts to help stakeholders understand and move through the procurement process more efficiently.
Required skills and experience:
Relevant Experience: 5+ years of experience in procurement, contract administration, or sourcing, ideally in a fast-paced or startup environment.
Relationship Focus: Proven ability to drive change and process compliance through communication, education, and relationships, not mandates.
Tactical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to read and understand commercial terms (SOWs, Order Forms) and perform light redlines within a corporate playbook.
Adaptability: Must be a self-starter who is highly flexible and comfortable in an evolving business where priorities shift based on business needs.
Tool Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Google Workspace (G-Suite) and experience managing contracts within a CLM system (e.g., Ironclad).
Attention to Detail: A passion for "clean data" and meticulous organization to ensure nothing falls through the cracks for our business partners
Desired skills and experience:
Advanced Education & Industry Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree is required, while a Master’s or MBA is preferred.
Experience operating in a highly regulated and fast paced industry, such as a health plan, is strongly preferred.
Direct hands-on experience with CLM software and a proven ability to create standard operating procedures (SOPs) or visual process aids.
Environmental Versatility: Experience in an environment without a formal P2P/PO system and a demonstrated interest in using AI tools to streamline procurement workflows
Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 / year
The pay range listed for this position is the range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. Once the interview process begins, your talent partner will provide additional information on the compensation for the role, along with additional information on our total rewards package. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

Generous paid time off
$100 monthly mobile or internet stipend
